I see the dynamic depictions of women in Minoan art, as an energy field of generosity and social balance. This field exerts a push or attraction on the elements of the work, creates movement, gaps and asymmetry. Viewers are free to interpret the resulting relationships. The scaffolding of the work functions as an ephemeral machine for the production of relationships and associations.
